On 2 September 2017, East Grinstead won the Sussex Premier League Title for the first time in the 47 years of the competition, with a game to spare, and also proved that the first eleven was the equal third best amateur team in the Country by reaching the Semi-final of the National Royal London Cup. But the real joy of last season was that our improvement on the field resonated throughout the club, senior and junior sides alike. The second team held their position in a newly created, much more competitive league, with both the Thirds and Fourths winning promotion, the Thirds as Champions.
All the junior teams benefitted from our established coaching structure that we hope to enhance over the winter to enable them to move up from near the top of their respective competitions and so allow the club to extend the flow of home-grown talent through into our first elevens of the future. The club runs four adult sides from the Sussex Premier League First Eleven, the successful Second Team squad to the Fourth Eleven in the Mid Sussex District League. The First and Second teams both finished in the top three of their respective leagues last season and both won their respective Sussex Cup Competitions on finals day at the County Ground in Hove in Septembaer.
The club was established in 1857 and has been at the heart of the community for over 150 years.
